FAQs

Q?

How long until I get my awesome quilt?

A.

The piecing and quilting process takes 4 - 8 weeks depending on the time of year. Graduation and Christmas time are extremely busy and the process may take a bit longer. I will stand on my head, or pull an all-nighter if needed, to make sure you get your quilt by your Grad party or Christmas. Note: I’ve NEVER missed a deadline.

Q?

Will I get to approve it before it gets sewn together forever?

A.

MASSIVELY IMPORTANT! When I have created your quilt layout I will take a picture and text it to you. I can also send it to you by email if you would like. If there is anything you would like changed, this is the time to do it! I LOVE sewing but adding 2 hours to the process ripping seams from knit fabric is not my fav.

IMPORTANT BEYOND BELIEF! I will need a speedy response and approval of the layout before starting to sew it together. If I do not hear back from you within approximately 15 minutes I will give you a call. In order to get your quilt to you as soon as possible I’ll need to hear back from you quickly.

Q?

Can I have my favorite color since I was age 3 as the binding on my quilt?

A.

Absolutely! The binding is the fabric that is sewn around the edges of the quilt and you can have any color you want! Since you can now see the layout of the quilt and its colors all together, you can make a decision on what color you would like for the binding. This is included in the price.

Q?

I have no clue about backing…can you help me out?

A.

Sure! I use a very nice quality interlocking knit fabric that is extremely soft for the backing so it has a similar feel as the t-shirts on the front. I have 4 colors of backing in stock to choose from: Black, Navy Blue, Heather Gray, and Hot Pink and they are all included in the price. If you would like different backing than what I provide, you will need to provide it when you ship or drop off your order.

Q?

How much will I need to pay at drop off?

A.

I require a deposit of $50 per quilt at the time of shirt delivery. In-town customers can pay with cash or check made to Wrapped Up In Memories or to myself. Out-of-town customers can pay the deposit through Paypal and the same for the balance when the quilt is complete. I will send a Paypal invoice to your email address that you can pay either with a debit or credit card.
